« 5 » 1989 PRS Electric guitar
25th August 2014

This is an early 1989 (23rd Jan) version of the PRS 'Electric' 24 guitar. There were about 250 of this model produced, with the majority being built in 1988. This one is number 220, just prior to the model being re-released as the PRS CE 24. I fixed some issues and gave it a polish and it looks quite good for a 25 year old guitar.

« 9 » Hohner Steinberger B2 bass with GK-3B Midi pickup
4th October 2011

I found this bass for the bassist who was playing in our band in the mid 90's, as he was playing a cheap instrument and wanted to upgrade. He played it for a while, but when he left our band he lost interest in playing and I bought this from him. It's a 4 string, 24 fret, headless and bodiless bass, with neck-thru design and 2 hum-cancelling pickups with passive electronics. Includes the Steinberger licensed bridge on an all maple body and neck with a rosewood fretboard. The neck is thin enough for my small hands and the bass is really lightweight. Later added a Roland GK-3B bass pickup for their 13 pin system, which transmits a signal per string and upgraded the knobs from black to pearloid.

« 10 » PRS Torero install internal Roland GK-Kit-GT3
28th September 2011

I modified my PRS SE Torero to include a Roland internal GK-KIT-GT3, which has a 13 pin output to drive a guitar synth. The install took over a month of work, and the stages taken have been documented on each of the photos.
