Hey Guys !
Thanks to Angus, Dave, Drew & Jason for showing up on satruday night for a nice little session..
Pitty the pc's didnt want to play and we couldnt get an timing happening !

Re: Cam's Track
The 2 out side lanes, yellow and red(pink) are actually fluro Posca pens, that glow under the UV

Looks pretty cool, but looks better if the whole track between the rails is painted...
The paint should be arriving during the week

My Storm is the snot car, and it was actually pretty cool as the paint on it was water based and was slow to dry and on fast corners it would bleed off, and leave some "Predator" blood behind.

Re: Cam's Track
So today saw the start of some more permanent fixtures !
The wall has been created ! Its made from packing foam and seems to leave card board for dead when it comes to barriers !

Unless you dont like bouncy barriers

Re: Cam's Track
Wow, that's looking great!! One 'feature' I saw on another track that you may want to consider (as you've got some spare space there) was they had the PC monitor in an enclosed section in the middle of the track.

Excuse my crappy drawing, but I hope you get the idea from it

Re: Cam's Track
Just cos there is no track there doesnt make it spare

The monitor actually sits rather well in the corner like it is, next pc upgrade will be an lcd montor, or a projector onto the side of the shed

Re: Cam's Track
I decided that 10 power taps was a good idea...
and just for good measure i'm using 2mm cable to each tap ! and a 10mm feed from the supply to the main controller feeds !
And its not finished yet..
But more work has transpired since the pic !

Re: Cam's Track
they sure will if you go too hard !
you need to treat the decline as you would a 6" corner !
maybe even go slower ?

i'm going to look into bending the track so there isnt such a sharp drop, as if you go over it too slowly the car stalls !

Re: Cam's Track
Good idea! I saw an article somewhere (maybe HOworld archives?) about making a hump bridge which you may want to read. I'll see if I can track it down ....

Here is the article:

http://www.howorld.net/archives/howto/brdglemn/bridge.html

Attached in PDF (as HOworld articles can sometimes go "missing").

Enjoy!!
