Lubricating the Car
Hi what about lubrication? what, where, when, how. What's peoples thoughts about this topic for all classes? what product? what quantity & frequency? every 10, 000 klms or 3 months?? |

i just don't lubricate mine!!!!!! that way they are slower so my eyes can keep up with them. |

haha, not really! you should oil your car about once every time you visit your slot track (or once a day if you frequent it more). Oil should be applied everywhere where there is friction (rear axel, the motor shaft bearing and the gears). Don't oil the bearing at the commutator end of the motor as often as it can lead to some oil getting on the comm! Probably the thinnest or best oil you can get for slotcars is made by slick 7 and is available from your nearest slot track. |

for HO cars - CRC 2.26 electrical (blue can) switch lubricant get this - you can even lubricate the COMM with it, just remember to brake WAAAAYYY earlier for corners cos of the lack of drivetrain friction hehe most effective on Tomy style brush setups, use sparingly on brush/barrel type cars (LL, Storms, Patriots etc).
