You probably already have them without knowing considering your collection.
Look for two faint dots or rings on each traction magnet.

Like these?

The way I read what Geoff said; they are not on new cars, you're probably better getting them off eBay and swapping them onto a new chassis ... as I'll be doing

I reckon the tyres should be stock. Would that alter much in the way of handling or speed?

What will be more difficult?

Everyone in our group sourcing and changing to black magnets

or

One newcomer buying an old SG+ off ebay (if they don't already own some 2 dot mags)

Good point Karl. How many people don't have 2 dot greys?

As for buying a car on eBay to get some, you would have to be bloody lucky. I think I have had one pair in the last dozen or so cars that I have bought.

I do have a couple in my collection that I would be prepared to swap for black ones if you don't have any.

I have lots of black ones that I would swap for 2 dot greys if we do change the rules but I am not alone on that. Dave tells me that he has a few as I image anyone who has bought a new car lately does.

There the ones Rich!

The other type don't grip quite as well, are a bit darker (blacker) and don't have these marks.

Cheers
