Make your Slot Racer look a million bucks - for only $5
After lurking around both the PsychoSlots and SCI sites, I saw alot of really nice wheels on HO scale slot cars. After a few enquiries I found that many of them were standard wheels with metal face inserts. A couple more enquiries led me to the guy that makes them 
Having always wanted to add a bit more SHOW to the oodles of GO, I decided to find out how much they were. Surprisingly, they were quite affordable, so I bit the bullet and ordered a few sets
Hoping they arrive before this Saturday's racing at Shawn's (10th July '10), if you think you might be interested in a set throw 5 bucks in your pit box just in case they get here by then! Will post a few pics now so you know what on earth I'm on about!  |

these precision photo etched metal wheel inserts have some amazing detail, bit hard to pick out in the pic but there's stud and rivet detail as well as the wheel design itself. They come as a set of 4, each being 5.4mm in diameter, and are attached inside your regular Tomy wheels. Wheel prep involves slightly reaming your standard Tomy Wheels out to the same diameter, and for greater effect the wheel can be painted silver with a matt black face, to show up the inserts really well. Just keep wheel press/puller tools away though haha  |
