Re: August Racing - A Kev 400
The main event on the 4 lane track is Parma friendly.

The support event on the 2 laner has been defined by Kev to be a challenge. He has turned down all offers to make it less challenging.

Looking forward to it.

Re: August Racing - A Kev 400
Here are some new pics of the 2 lane track that Chris & I have been working on , Although you might not like the idea of having any crash barriers on any track I feel that these ones will make it look a bit more realistic when we've completed it , As you might notice that the start & finish point has a "Pits" area ( to be completed ) which will have a Garage for at least 4 - 6 cars hopefully , We've been averaging 16.65sec ( on the Inner lane ) & 18.45sec ( on the Outer Lane ) for the Johnny Lightnings per lap with times being 8.85sec ( on the Inner lane ) & 8.15sec ( on the Outer lane ) for the Turbo cars & around 7.45sec ( on the Inner lane ) & 7.55sec ( on the Outer lane ) for the Supa G+ cars so far which was timed over 50 laps each using my lap top.

I hope that the layout will work properly on Saturday & that the weather will be in our favour as well ( as racing with the Tomy power pack & controlls will TEST everyone ) But the 4 lane track should be a bit different as we'll be using your "Club" power & stuff for racing.

Will go now See you on Saturday ,

Kev.

Re: August Racing - A Kev 400
Racing this month was down at Kev’s place where he gave us 2 challenges: firstly a 2 laner with standard Tomy power supplies and controllers to test out skill (or lack of it) with Classic TJets; secondly a 4 lane track on the carpet in the lounge room to get us back to basics with a mini Enduro. Thanks Kev for the use of your place. Thanks to June for providing the eats. Chris the track that you put together in the lounge was a great layout for the event.

Results:

Kev Challenge: Classic Tjets

Two minutes in each lane. Total laps to decide the event.

Driver Division Lane 1 Lane 2 Total
Dave H Consistency 5 6 11
Cam Consistency 6 5 11
Chris Consistency 5 4 9
Kev Consistency 4 4 8
Barry Consistency 4 4 8
Rebekah Consistency 3 4 7
Matelen Consistency 3 3 6
Dave G Speed 7 5 12
Karl Speed 6 6 12
Geoff Speed 4 4 8

Mini Enduro: Stock Turbos

Round Robin format; Ten minute heats; Total laps to decide the event.

Heat Yellow Blue White Red
1 Chris (67) Dave G (83) Matelen (27) Rebekah (64)
2 Barry (47) Geoff (79) Dave G (86) Cam (83)
3 Karl (83) Kev (65) Dave H (47) Chris (82)
4 Geoff (87) Barry (65) Kev (64) Karl (9
5 Rebekah (60) Matelen (71) Cam (72) Dave H (73)
6 Matelen (3 Cam (6 Chris (67) Geoff (82)
7 Dave G (93) Drew (93) Barry (60) Matelen (51)
8 Dave H (62) Rebekah (57) Karl (91) Drew (95)
9 Kev (70) Karl (92) Drew (90) Dave G (95)
10 Cam (74) Dave H (74) Rebekah (59) Barry (63)
11 Drew (94) Chris (66) Geoff (86) Kev (76)

Ten minute heats when the normal are 2 or 3 minutes seem very, very long but most people were able to get into the groove a keep the laps going with out giving the marshals too much of a work out.

Speed division: Drew (372 laps) was first from Karl (364) Dave G (357) and Geoff (334).

Consistency Division: Cam (297) was first from Chris (282), Kev (275), Dave H (256) Rebekah (240), Barry (235) and Matelen (187).

Re: August Racing - A Kev 400
What can I say? Was such a good layout for both classes. I'm very pleased with my acheivements, small as they are in the big scale of things.

My morale boosted, I look forward to the next round to try again...
