Inaugural testing of the routed track - 28th June 08
Inviting anyone who'd like to come and have a run of the routed track around next Saturday, 28th June 2008.

From the tests I've run so far, the track prefers 'standard' type cars, rather than modified, and hopefully give me a chance to tweak a few lanes, or at least find out if there are any major problems.

Probably kick off around 1PM and finish around 5ish ...

Please let me know if you're coming, if you don't have my address details, send me a PM by clicking on my name on the left there.

Cheers

Richard

Yep, no dramas, still a few teething problems, but getting around most of them.

Should be an interesting (and fast) race meet, as when both Chad and Geoff came over, we found that the cars they were running on AFX track were hindered on the routed track - so cars that run well on plastic may not necessarily run well on wood! It may be necessary to bring a variety of cars and test which ones work well, and may actually even out the field a little bit as people with very low cars may not be the best to run (as per Dave's comment on his track that the X-Traction cars work well, they are not quite so close to the rails as a Turbo or SG+).

Those that couldn't make it are welcome to make a time to come/see/test the track.

Cheers

Richard
