November Racing @ Chad's
Chad, I started the thread for you, even bought your words and designs along....

Good news everybody.........(ala professor H.Farnsworth ), November racing at my little place. My 1200mmx3600mm table, ready for my routed track, will be set up in my semi enclosed carport. Hopefully the weather will be nice to us.
A full championship style program will be run.
Have a look at these designs i have come up with so far:
keep in mind there will be 1-2 inches of foam around the inside of the 1200mmx3600mm table and we need room for an on track monitor.

Re: November Racing @ Chad's
thanks Geoff.

i'd love a bridge,
so how bout this.........for something completely different.

i dont have a problem with 6 and 9 inch corners, just when they are put in random spots on a layout (they break up the flow).

Re: November Racing @ Chad's
bridges are cool, except when trying to add corner aprons to raised sections..

imagine how much harder it would have been at teh XLR8 race if the track was raised

unless we can solve the problem!

Re: November Racing @ Chad's
....ahhhh, i plan to cutout a cardboard base for each corner and attatch all the track and apron to it. Will take time, but hey....it does take time to do things properly as you know! The raise sections will be enclosed down to the board, so no cars can get stuck under there.
Every connection will be hand cleaned if necessary. The track will be up and running in the week(s) prior to the event so every little bump and glitch can be sorted out..............hopefully!

Now Chad. Any chance of getting a bmp of these layouts ?
bit hard for those of us that dont have a jpg viewer!

Seriously though, I like the 2nd pic.
Tracey likes the 2nd and 3rd pic.

From memory the last true fast track raced on was Drews. I'm really looking forward to another.

Cheers
Karl

Re: November Racing @ Chad's
.....yep, all 15's and 12's. No 6's or 9's to slow you down to an almost stop.
Thinking bout the 2nd pic very seriously. Easy to make!
.........but look at this....
