October 2011 Racing @ Way Out West (my place )
Following the current venue rotation, next race meet will be at my place. Was thinking of doing some different events - open to suggestions. One was an IROC style race using 4 supplied X Traction cars. Crash n burn racing may also be on the cards again, if only so I can exact revenge 
If we're short of ideas, we can always run our usual schedule! Cheers Dave |

Results for Racing at Daves
ANother big day's racing at WOW. 3 drivers turned up for racing plus the host. 3 Classes were run, T-Jets, Turbos and SG+. T-Jets were closely fought, with a Draw for 1st between Dave and Garth (Mr Consistency). Turbos were another story, Dave dominated (Home track advantage?) scoring top laps on all lanes and showed a 10 lap advantage to take the win. The final race for Super G Plus, was a hot one, Garth surprised the crowds by top qualifying with a 2.523 flying lap in his 4min session, Geoff eased in last place with a 2.663s. But, Geoff was flying in the early stages, with a one race old motor (practically new) he managed to heat things up again and eventually melted the stack insulators and burned the marshalls finger (ouch). Not to be outdone Davey G also succumbed to a melted engine, and Garth even managed to get in on the act and throw a wire luckily on the last lap of the last heat. This left Moi with a chance to win being the only one without motor failure. The explanation in the pits later was that some drivers were using taller gearing from Maxtrack which was unsuited for the tighter turns of WOW contributing to hot motors . Here's the results. Btw, I didn't actually burn out my motor (it get get very hot though). After rebuilding my SG+ I managed to beat Garth's TQ time with it

Hi Guys , Bugger that I missed out on another race ( again ) , Sorry dave that i didn't get to let you know on saturday as i'd hoped to get to your place but i was needed at cohunu park , being railway manager for the park is more demanding than it seems  so i'm hoping that i can attend some racing again next year as i can't see myself getting to make the last 2 meetings for this year but do keep me informed while i watch from the grand stands.  |

Kev, you should try and make it to the Xmas bash at Geoff's to see the year out. even if you don't race we might just muck about and talk about life & modelling in general. We are putting together a simple race report to tempt you back. Even Garth is winning races you could come back and beat him surely?
